Despite the fact Im far older now, and Magic: The Gathering is still going strong, I still felt intimidated by the legacy that MTG has, with decades worth of cards and the rules and lore attached to them
Many decks are built with two types in mind, but finding enough Pokemon to fill only those two types, and synchronize nicely with each other, would be laborious at best
You can also sell Pokmon cards locally, but Id argue that selling online is faster and more efficient
