Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor is very good in black disruptive/discard decks filled with cards like tokens, Deep-Cavern Bat, or Preacher of the Schism

He arrives with plenty of loyalty counters, he can lock down your opponent for a few turns, and if left to scry and draw cards, you'll wind up with an emblem that will almost certainly win you the game

To power this list up, you would probably want to run some cards that work with the synergy I've already got by adding permanents like Banner of Kinship or Beastmaster Ascension if you don't mind the flavor fail of a reference to Beasts
